Do you know what to do in the event of an Active Shooter or violent encounter when medical assistance is not immediately available. Do you know how to preserve and save your own life, let alone the life of others?
Your life or the life of a friend or family member may depend on your preparedness and ability to respond effectively in an emergency situation. Trauma kits and proper training are part of that preparedness.
Students will learn the basic principles of a scene assessment, emergency casualty care, and implement immediate care and life saving techniques to properly treats the “Big 3” (Hemorrhage Control, Pneumothorax, Airway Obstruction) associated with penetrating trauma wounds. Students will also be certified in CPR and receive a certification from the American Heart Association that is valid for 2 years. Course tuition includes a basic IFAK to treat wounds associated with GSWs.
