Overview:
Florida Firearms Academy’s Concealed Weapons Permit Class is your gateway to lawful, responsible concealed carry in the State of Florida. This professionally instructed course meets and exceeds the training requirements set by Florida Statute 790 for obtaining your concealed weapons permit.
Who This Class Is For:
- First-time firearm owners
- Seasoned shooters needing a state-recognized training certificate
- Anyone who values personal protection and wants to carry lawfully and responsibly
What You’ll Learn:
✅ Florida firearm and self-defense laws
✅ Where you can and cannot carry
✅ Use of force and deadly force guidelines
✅ Self-defense event liabilities and responsibilities
✅ Live-fire qualification under instructor supervision
What’s Included:
- Professional instruction by USCCA and/or NRA certified professionals
- Range time and live-fire evaluation
- Certificate of completion for Florida’s concealed carry permit application
- Eye and ear protection
- FREE firearm rental
- Paper Targets
- Note: If you bring your own firearm, ammunition is not included, but is available for purchase
What to Bring:
- Valid photo ID (driver’s license or passport)
- Your firearm and 50 rounds of factory ammunition (if bringing your own firearm)
- Notepad and pen (optional)

Approximately 3 hours

- Standard: $50
- FFA Members: 20% discount
Important Notes:
- Students must be at least 21 years old to apply for a Florida CWP.
- All participants will complete a live-fire qualification; no online-only certification is accepted.
- Class spots fill quickly – pre-registration is required.
